Following last year’s success, the LGC ACADEMY is back for 2010.

Academy Membership is open to anyone, Men, Ladies and Juniors, who have never played golf but would like to try and for those who are thinking of coming back to  playing golf.

It provides more than just learning how to hit a golf ball and the rules of the game. It will give a taste of what it is like to be a member of Lightcliffe Golf Club.

Academy Membership is a perfect gift for family and friends, or if you  know somebody who might be interested, please make them aware.

The Academy will be run throughout the summer, and will include the following:

· Group lessons with David Mckidd - as many as you like to give you confidence to go forward to enjoy the game of golf.

· Use of the club practice ground and putting green.

· Use of the club bar and catering facilities.

· Rules and Etiquette evenings at the Club.

· Playing on the course with a member at a reduced green fee, once an agreed  standard is reached.

· Discount on golf equipment bought in the professional’s shop.

· Social evening to meet the club Captains.

· Academy Members will be bound by the rules of the club, particularly the dress code, whilst on the course and in the clubhouse.

Cost of Academy Membership:

Adults £100

Couple £150

Seniors over 60 £75

Juniors £25

Any adult becoming a playing member of the Club following Membership of the Academy will receive a reduction of £50 on the first year’s subscription.
